Erskine Garden Centre and Cafe are officially opened
May 5th 2011
Erskine Garden Centre and Vanishing Willows Cafe have now been officially opened, having traded since their completion in May 2010.
Malcolm Scott Consultants prepared the Masterplan for the new Garden Centre. The original Garden Centre comprised some 500m² heated, 400m² open-sided and approximately 1,400m² open sales areas. The new Garden Centre is twice as large, comprising some 1,200m² covered heated sales area, together with some 800m² open-sided canopies and over 1,500m² open sales area.
The Centre lies at the entrance to Erskine's Bishopton Estate. The Centre provides employment opportunities for veterans and disabled people and money raised goes towards the care of veterans in Erskine's five care homes in Scotland.
Following grant of consent, Malcolm Scott Consultants advised on shop-fitting and a signage strategy for the new Garden Centre.
