Lawful Development Certificate Issued for a Garden Centre on former Nursery Land

This LDC should allow the Nursery greater flexibility when considering future development and should raise the value of the land in doing so

Holly Farm Nurseries has obtained a Lawful Development Certificate for the use of its site as a Garden Centre. Approximately 1,700m² of indoor/covered nursery floorspace can now be used as unrestricted A1 retail space thanks to an application submitted by Malcolm Scott Consultants.

The Certificate will help smooth the passage for future redevelopment at the site and will allow the owners the freedom to develop the site in a manner which would have otherwise been unavailable.

Tim Noble of Holly Farm Nurseries said: "We are delighted that we now have permission in place which will allow for a broader range of goods to be sold this coming season. We are pleased with both the result and the speed of the decision, which was obtained within only 3 months from instructing Malcolm Scott Consultants in the Autumn".
