Major New Development Planning Consent for Millbrook

Consent has been granted for 2,356mē development in the Kent Green Belt following consideration by the Secretary of State
Following consideration by the Secretary of State, consent has been granted for 2,356m² of development at Millbrook Garden Company, despite being in the Kent Green Belt.
The development, comprising Coffee Shop Extension, Shop Extension, New Warehouse, Mezzanine Offices, Enclosed Glasshouses and Canopies,was approved on the grounds of the Very Special Circumstances put forward.
The planning application case prepared by Malcolm Scott Consultantsrested partly on demonstrating the business need for the development in terms of Enhanced Customer Facilities and Shopping Environment and Improved Goods Handling.
The First Phase of development is expected to commence in Autumn 2009.
